Great to meet you!

Therapy isn’t about fixing what’s “wrong” with you—it’s about understanding what your nervous system carries and learning new ways to move forward. I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in West Virginia and Maryland, with a Master of Social Work from Salisbury University. I specialize in working with trauma, anxiety, insomnia, and chronic pain—areas where the mind and body are deeply connected, and where relief often feels like it is somewhere else.

When clients feel stuck, overwhelmed, or worn down, my focus is on finding realistic, practical solutions that actually fit your life. I approach therapy with curiosity, collaboration, and respect for your lived experience—blending insight with tools you can use outside of a session. My goal is to help you feel more grounded, more in control, and more at ease in your own body and mind.

My approach to therapy

Our first session will involve some 'housekeeping' questions I like to call them. But outside of your initial assessment, therapy should be informal and therapeutic, suited to what you need and the space you are in. I use a variety of behavioral health treatment modalities, theories, strategies, acronyms, and even just tricks to get you where you want to go. You are the driver, I am the GPS.

What you can expect from me

In the first session, it is important to learn what brought you to therapy, what is working well, what is not working well, and goals you have! If you have questions about my background, therapy, mental health concepts, I am an open book!
