Great to meet you!

As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC), I bring over 15 years of experience supporting individuals through significant life challenges and personal transformation. My background includes working in crisis mental health, emergency department settings, substance use treatment, and behavioral health, giving me a deep understanding of how mental health impacts every aspect of wellness.

My practice specializes in supporting individuals who are on a transformation journey, whether that involves weight loss surgery, GLP-1 medications, recovery from emotional eating patterns, improving self-esteem, managing anxiety or depression, or creating sustainable lifestyle changes. Major physical changes often bring unexpected emotional challenges, and many people find they need support adjusting to their “new normal.

My approach to therapy

My approach is warm, collaborative, and goal-oriented. I believe in meeting clients where they are while helping them identify meaningful goals and practical steps toward change. I utilize Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based approaches to help clients build confidence, increase resilience, and create lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, my goal is to get to know you as a person, not just the challenges that brought you to therapy. We’ll spend time exploring where you are right now, what goals you’d like to work toward, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I also believe that therapy works best when it feels like a good fit, so I’ll want to learn what you’re looking for in a therapist and what type of support feels most helpful to you. If you’ve been in therapy before, we’ll discuss what worked well, what didn’t, and how we can build an approach that meets your unique needs. Together, we’ll begin creating a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and aligned with your goals.
