Great to meet you!

For more than 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of walking alongside individuals, couples, and families as they work toward healing, growth, and change. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor, and Substance Abuse Professional, I bring both deep clinical knowledge and a compassionate, down-to-earth approach to therapy.

I specialize in helping clients navigate life’s most personal challenges—including relationship and intimacy concerns, life transitions, grief and loss, trauma, and mental health struggles. I also provide substance abuse treatment, DOT/SAP evaluations, and recovery support using evidence-based approaches such as CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, Trauma-Focused CBT, the Duluth Model, and the Matrix Model.

I have a special commitment to serving Black communities, LGBTQIA+ individuals, people living with HIV, re-entry populations, sex workers, and youth facing challenges. I understand how personal, cultural, and systemic factors shape each person’s story, and I create a safe, affirming space where clients feel truly seen and heard.

In our sessions, you can expect a respectful, judgment-free environment where your voice matters. I believe therapy works best as a partnership—we’ll set goals together, explore what’s holding you back, and develop practical strategies you can use in daily life a more fulfilling life. Whether you’re seeking support for a specific issue or simply want to invest in your personal growth, I’m here to help you take that next step.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy works best when it is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your emotions, relationships, and personal challenges openly and honestly. My approach combines evidence-based methods—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Reality Therapy, and Trauma-Focused CBT—with tools and strategies you can start applying right away.

In mental health therapy, I help clients understand their thoughts and emotions, recognize patterns that may be holding them back, and develop coping skills to create balance and resilience. In intimacy therapy, I work with individuals and couples to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen both emotional and physical connection. This may include addressing performance anxiety, mismatched desire, emotional disconnection, or other barriers to closeness.

By looking at the whole picture—emotional, psychological, cultural, and relational factors—we create a path toward deep, lasting change. My goal is to help you gain clarity, build confidence, and foster healthier patterns so you can create a more fulfilling life and relationships that truly thrive.

What you can expect from me

I believe that mental and emotional well-being are deeply connected to the quality of our relationships—both with others and with ourselves. Whether you’re navigating anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, or challenges in intimacy and connection, my goal is to help you feel understood, supported, and empowered to create lasting change.

Working together is about more than just talking—it’s about creating meaningful, lasting change in your life and relationships. My goal is for you to leave each session with both insight and practical strategies you can apply right away.

1. Clarity and Self-Understanding You’ll gain a deeper awareness of how your thoughts, emotions, and life experiences shape your mental health, relationships, and intimacy. We’ll identify patterns that may be holding you back and explore healthier ways to respond.

2. Practical Skills You Can Use Immediately You’ll walk away with strategies to manage stress, improve communication, resolve conflicts, and build emotional resilience—tools that work in daily life, not just in the therapy room.

3. Stronger Relationships and Intimacy For clients seeking intimacy therapy, we’ll focus on rebuilding trust, deepening emotional and physical connection, and addressing challenges such as mismatched desire, emotional disconnection, or communication breakdowns.

4. Emotional Support and Validation You’ll experience a safe, judgment-free space where your voice is heard, your feelings are respected, and your experiences are understood.

5. A Clear Path Forward You’ll leave with personalized goals, a realistic action plan, and the confidence to take steps toward the changes you want.

Over time, you can expect to feel more confident, connected, and empowered—equipped with skills that strengthen both your mental well-being and your personal relationships.
