Great to meet you!

With over 14 years of experience in the mental health and substance use field, I have dedicated my career to supporting individuals as they navigate some of life’s most challenging circumstances. My passion lies in walking alongside people who are battling mental health and substance use concerns, helping them discover their strengths, build resilience, and move toward healing at their own pace.

I believe in meeting clients exactly where they are creating a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where they feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is warm, open, and client-centered, recognizing that every person’s journey is unique. Through this lens, I strive to foster trust and connection, guiding individuals toward meaningful change and a stronger sense of self.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is grounded in warmth, openness, and a deep respect for each client’s unique journey. I believe in meeting individuals where they are, creating a supportive and nonjudgmental space that fosters trust, healing, and growth.

I earned my Master of Social Work degree from North Carolina Central University and my Bachelor of Science in Family and Community Services from East Carolina University. I bring a strong foundation of clinical knowledge and practical expertise to my work.

I serve adults ages 18–60, supporting them through challenges related to trauma, stress management, anger management, depression, and anxiety. My background in both mental health and substance use equips me to provide holistic, client-centered care that addresses the interconnected nature of emotional well-being and daily functioning. My goal is to empower clients to build resilience, gain effective coping strategies, and move toward lasting stability and improved quality of life.

What you can expect from me

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, so my goal is to make your first session as comfortable and welcoming as possible. We’ll spend time getting to know each other, talking about what brought you to therapy, and what you’d like to get out of our work together.

You’re free to share at your own pace, there’s no rush and no pressure. I’ll also answer any questions you have about the process so you feel clear about what to expect moving forward. By the end of the session, we’ll begin creating a plan tailored to your needs, and you’ll leave with a sense of support and hope for the journey ahead.
