Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Britni. Come as you are.

You don’t need to have the perfect words or even know exactly where to begin. Sometimes therapy starts with, “I don’t even know what’s wrong, I just know I’m tired.” We can start there.

I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor with a background in trauma therapy. I work with clients navigating trauma, PTSD, grief, relationship and family concerns, and major life transitions. I also use EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches to help clients process painful experiences and create healthier patterns moving forward.

My style is warm, conversational, open-minded, and honest. I’m not the therapist who is going to sit silently and nod at you for 50 minutes. We may laugh, we may sit with hard things, and I may gently challenge you when needed, but you never have to perform in the room with me.

I also support women through pregnancy, postpartum, and the emotional shifts that can come with motherhood, as well as military service members, veterans, and their families.

At the heart of my work, I want therapy to feel human. Come as you are. We can figure out the rest together.

I think this is the sweet spot. It still sounds distinct, but it moves.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is compassionate, collaborative, and tailored to you. I believe in meeting you exactly where you are; whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply curious about your next step. I draw from EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and person-centered techniques to support healing and growth at your pace. I work through a trauma-informed lens, always holding space for your story with care and respect. Therapy with me often feels like a mix of reflection, support, and real conversation. You're the expert on your life, I'm just here to help you feel more empowered in it.

What you can expect from me

Your first session is really about getting to know you, not rushing you into your hardest story. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what’s been weighing on you, and what you hope can feel different.

I’ll ask questions, but this won’t feel like an interrogation. You don’t have to tell me everything on day one, and you definitely don’t need to arrive with a perfectly organized explanation of your life.

My style is warm, conversational, and laid-back. I want you to feel comfortable enough to be honest, laugh when something is funny, and say, “I actually don’t know,” when you don’t have the answer yet.

By the end of our first session, my hope is that you feel a little lighter, a little more understood, and clear about what we can begin working on together.
