Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Walden University and a Bachelor of Social Work from Norfolk State University. My clinical experience spans emergency departments, hospitals, and community-based behavioral health settings, where I have supported adults navigating depression, anxiety, life transitions, substance use concerns, and complex medical or psychiatric challenges.

My approach to therapy

My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based practice. I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, strengths-based approaches, and motivational interviewing to help clients better understand patterns in their thoughts, emotions, and relationships while also building practical tools for change. Together, we identify meaningful goals and work at a pace that feels supportive and empowering.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we’ll focus on getting to know you and understanding what brings you to therapy. I’ll ask about your current concerns, personal history, strengths, and goals for treatment. This initial conversation helps me develop a comprehensive understanding of your experiences so we can create a plan that feels aligned with your needs.

You can expect a supportive, nonjudgmental space where you can share at a pace that feels comfortable.

We’ll also discuss what you hope to gain from therapy and begin identifying practical next steps. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and clear about how we can work together moving forward.
