Great to meet you!

As a licensed clinical social worker (DC, MD & VA), I’m passionate about creating a safe and affirming space for Black women and other marginalized populations to navigate healing. I specialize in decolonizing and de-stigmatizing mental health, and I bring professional expertise and personal compassion to every session.

I earned my Master’s in Social Work and am pursuing my Doctorate in Social Work at the University of Southern California, focusing on health equity for Black women. My clinical experience includes working with adults navigating chronic stress, anxiety, trauma, faith-related concerns, and the emotional toll of caregiving and helping professions.

Clients who work with me appreciate my holistic and culturally sensitive approach. When requested, I integrate evidence-based practices like cognitive behavioral therapy with somatic and spiritual or faith-based perspectives. If you’ve ever felt like you’ve had to carry it all, I want you to know—you don’t have to do it alone. I’m here to walk with you, without judgment, toward the healing and balance you deserve.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered and integrative, which means I tailor therapy to your unique needs, strengths, and lived experiences. I believe you are the expert of your own life, and I’m here to help you reconnect with your voice, body, and truth in a safe, empowering, and transformative way.

I draw from a blend of evidence-based and holistic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, somatic practices, inner child healing, and narrative therapy. I also incorporate faith-based practices to support spiritual and emotional alignment when welcomed. Whether you’re navigating trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, or just feeling emotionally overwhelmed, I approach our work with compassion, curiosity, and cultural humility.

Therapy with me is a space where you can slow down, breathe deeply, and begin to heal—emotionally, physically, and spiritually. Together, we’ll uncover what’s been weighing you down and build tools to help you move forward more freely and clearly.

What you can expect from me

Clients often leave sessions with me feeling more grounded, validated, and equipped with practical tools to navigate life’s challenges. You can expect to gain deeper insight into your patterns, reconnect with your inner wisdom, and develop strategies that support emotional regulation, boundaries, and self-compassion.

Our work will not only focus on what’s been heavy—but also on helping you reclaim joy, rest, and alignment with your true self. Whether we’re exploring old wounds, processing current stressors, or working through somatic or inner child healing, my goal is for you to walk away feeling seen, supported, and empowered.

Most importantly, you’ll leave knowing that you have a space where you don’t have to hold it all alone.
