Great to meet you!

As an African American female therapist specializing in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I’m passionate about helping individuals navigate anxiety, depression, and anger management. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel heard, respected, and empowered. My approach is collaborative and goal-oriented—we’ll work together to uncover patterns, build practical coping strategies, and create lasting change. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or ready to take the next step in your healing journey, I’m here to walk beside you with compassion, clarity, and care.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I believe in meeting clients where they are—emotionally, mentally, and culturally—while providing tools that support real growth and lasting change. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) as a foundation to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns, develop healthier coping strategies, and improve emotional regulation.

I specialize in working with individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, and anger management. Whether you're struggling with overwhelming emotions, persistent worry, or difficulty expressing yourself in healthy ways, I create a safe and affirming space where we can explore your experiences, build resilience, and work toward meaningful goals.

I also incorporate elements of mindfulness, psychoeducation, and strength-based approaches to empower you both in and outside of sessions. My goal is not only to help you manage symptoms but to help you thrive—with greater self-awareness, confidence, and clarity in your day-to-day life.

What you can expect from me

In our sessions, you can expect a supportive and culturally affirming environment where your voice matters and your experiences are validated. I strive to create a space that feels safe, respectful, and empowering—where you can show up as your full self without judgment.

Together, we’ll work toward practical and meaningful goals tailored to your needs, such as reducing anxiety, managing depressive symptoms, building emotional regulation skills, and learning healthier ways to cope with stress and anger. Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), you’ll gain insight into how your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected—and how to shift them in ways that support your healing and growth.

You can expect to leave sessions with:

  • Greater self-awareness and clarity
  • Tangible coping tools to manage daily challenges
  • Increased confidence in your ability to handle emotions
  • Healthier communication and boundary-setting skills
  • A deeper sense of control and balance in your life

My goal is to help you not just “get through” tough moments, but to grow through them—so you feel more equipped, resilient, and aligned with the life you want to live.
