Great to meet you!

I strive to provide a warm, supportive, and inclusive environment where clients can feel safe, accepted, and truly valued. I have twelve years of experience as a therapist helping adults navigate a diverse array of mental health concerns. I am a neurodiversity-affirming, LGBTQIA+ ally and am passionate about creating a therapeutic space where diversity is celebrated.

I am currently earning my PsyD in Health Service Psychology from Western Carolina University, and hold an MS in Rehabilitation Counseling and Psychology from UNC-Chapel Hill. While I am actively working toward becoming a geropsychologist to serve older adults, I deeply enjoy working with clients of all ages.

In my free time, I enjoy exploring hiking trails, trying to persuade my plants to grow, and trying out new recipes in the kitchen (often under the guidance of my rather-opinionated cat).

My approach to therapy

Therapy isn't about becoming a different person; it's about learning to understand, love, and appreciate the uniquely wonderful human you already are. I employ an ecclectic, person-centered, strengths-based approach to therapy that incorporates cogntive behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness strategies. I encourage clients to practice therapy skills in-between appointments as an extension of therapy so they can integrate growth and healing into their everyday routine and get the most out of their therapy experience.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about building a comfortable foundation and getting to know one another. We will spend time discussing what brings you to therapy, what you hope to achieve, any past experiences you have with counseling, and your personal strengths. This is a low-pressure, conversational space where you can share as much or as little as you feel ready to disclose. We will collaboratively develop a preliminary roadmap for our therapy sessions, so you can leave with a clearer sense of direction and increased hope.
