Great to meet you!

It’s no secret that starting therapy can be difficult and frightening. But taking that first step makes all the difference! I hope to provide a safe space for you to be your authentic self and speak freely. I do my best to support clients in reaching their goals and hope to provide you with tools to assist in whatever struggles may come.

I’ve been in this field since 2012 and have experience with many different populations. During school, I was trained in psychodynamic theory, but have also participated in additional trainings of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) which I try to integrate into sessions. I value clients right to self-determination and am passionate about providing support to assist clients in reaching their goals.

My approach to therapy

I have been working in psych-related field since 2012. I started at a psychiatric hospital where I worked as a tech; assisted patients with daily living, learning coping skills, and held groups. In 2014, I started working at a transitional living home for adolescents/young adults between the ages of 16-20. I helped youth learn general life skills, provided 1:1 case management, and engaged in other activities that helped build them up/prepare them to be independent. In 2016, I began interning as an outpatient therapist working with individuals who struggled with substance abuse issues. Since that time I continued to provide outpatient treatment to a variety of individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma and substance related disorders.

What you can expect from me
