Great to meet you!
After pursuing a career in music (unsuccessfully) I became concerned that there were some issues preventing me from becoming the best version of myself I could be. Therapy not only helped me become a more authentic individual, it convinced me that being a part of the helping profession was going to be my new dedication. I soon began my academic journey in Dayton Ohio and ending it with my Masters in clinical social work at the University of Maine. My undergraduate studies focused on Rehabilitation Services with specialization in substance abuse. This background has given me a great appreciation and expertise for co-occurring disorders and the residual impact of drugs and alcohol upon all members of the family. I have spent more than 10 years working with young adults and children with emphasis on Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy approaches. I am also a certified MATCH provider (modular approach to treating children between 6-17 with anxiety, trauma, depression and conduct disorders). I fully believe in the mind, body connection and utilize a holistic approach when working with clients.
