My motivation for going into this work is compassion and a deep appreciation for the human experience. I believe therapy can be a powerful and meaningful way to heal and grow and develop our best potential. I’m easy-going, grounded, and well-trained; I will honor our commitment and time together. I have good professional boundaries and also do not mind sharing some of my own personal life experiences in therapy. I have specialized training in cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, internal family systems, somatic psychotherapy, and EMDR.
I ask folks to schedule an initial consultation where get to know each other better, ask questions, and consider if this will be a good fit for both of us. Once we commit to working together, we will consider your goals and create a plan. I meet with clients on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Sometimes I assign homework or practices between sessions, and I might ask you to complete clinical questionnaires periodically so we have the best understanding of your progress.
