Great to meet you!

Hello and welcome! I'm Brooke, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I earned both my Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Social Work in 2005 and 2014, respectively. Prior to focusing solely on providing therapy, I worked as a medical social worker in hospital and hospice settings. As such, I have had the privilege of supporting people through some of the most difficult and vulnerable seasons of their lives. Additionally, I have a passion for providing care to Veterans, first responders and their families, and all helping professionals. I consider it an honor to be trusted with each person's story, and to work beside them in working towards solutions or adaptive resolutions.

My approach to therapy

I believe therapy is about so much more than just talking about what is wrong. My approach is warm, compassionate, and down-to-earth. I want every client to feel accepted for exactly where they are, without judgement or pressure. I also believe that therapy is a place to do hard work. I am both gentle and direct in sessions, creating safety to feel vulnerable while also being honest when noticing patterns, behaviors or beliefs that may be getting in the way. My goal is to guide clients to reframe and reprocess events, so they no longer have to carry the same burdens or feel the same way.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will get to know each other and determine if it is a good fit. I will ask questions about your life, your history and most importantly your goals. I will ask how do you want to feel? Then we will discuss options and a plan to work towards and achieve those goals.
