Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, and Certified Clinical Supervisor with over 15 years of experience working with addiction and dual diagnosis. I began my career in 2010 as a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and completed my MSW in 2021. I prefer to take a down-to-earth, compassionate approach and believe therapy should feel collaborative and tailored to you. I bring warmth and compassion to the therapeutic relationship, and I believe in the power of humor when appropriate, which I feel is the fun part of nervous system regulation.

I enjoy helping clients better understand themselves, break old patterns, and build a life that feels more manageable and aligned with their most authentic self. I have worked in a variety of settings including outpatient, crisis, inpatient, MAT, integrated primary care and judicial. I enjoy supporting adults navigating complex trauma, substance use, and life transitions.

My approach to therapy

I take a collaborative approach to therapy that centers the relationship as a key part of the work. I see therapy as something we build together, where you feel heard, understood, and safe to show up as you are. Rather than taking an overly clinical or one-size-fits-all approach, I tailor our work to fit your needs, goals, and what actually resonates for you.

I draw from both top-down and bottom-up approaches. This includes cognitive and skills-based work like CBT, MI, DBT-informed, and solution-focused strategies, as well as deeper, body-based and trauma-informed approaches such as EMDR, parts work, polyvagal theory, and somatic-informed practices. This allows us to work not just with thoughts and behaviors, but also with the nervous system and underlying patterns that can keep people feeling stuck.

What you can expect from me

The First session is always a “getting to know each other session.” You can expect me to be warm, friendly, and inquisitive, but I would like to give the space to you as the client to tell me what you want me to know about you. I will ask questions, but the space is yours to fill me in on who you are, what you think is most important to share, and then we will work together collaboratively to explore what you would like to get from therapy.
