Great to meet you!

I'm Brooke- a Michigan-based therapist with 26 years of experience and a deep belief that people are more resilient than they given themselves credit for. I work entirely online, which means you can access quality mental health care from wherever you are in Michigan. I've worked with hundreds of individuals across the lifespan- from teens navigating pressure to seniors managing life transitions - and what I've learned is that most people don't need to be "fixed". They need someone who actually listens, helps them see patterns they've been too close to notice, and walks alongside them as they build the life they want. I accept BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Priority Health, Carelon, Ascension, and Medicare Advantage- so insurance is rarely a barrier.

My approach to therapy

I am solution focused without being dismissive of the hard stuff. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and mindfulness-based approaches- but in practice, that means we focus on what's keeping you stuck, build concrete strategies together and track what's actually working. I don't subscribe to a one-size-fits-all treatment. If something isn't clicking for you, we adjust. I also bring a strength-based lens to every session: I believe you already have more capacity than you think, and part of my job is helping you find it.

What you can expect from me

No homework, no pressure to share everything at once. Your first session is mostly a conversation-'ll ask about what brought you in, what's been most challenging, and what you'd like to feel or do differently. I want to understand you as a whole person, not just your symptoms. By the end of our first session, you'll have a clearer sense of what we'll focus on together, and I'll have a sense of how I can best support you. Most clients feel relieved just getting it out of their head and into the room. Virtual sessions make it easy- you can join from your couch, your car, wherever you're comfortable.
