Great to meet you!

Taking the first step toward better mental health takes courage, and you deserve to feel proud of yourself for being here. You may be feeling overwhelmed by stress, anxiety, relationship difficulties, family conflict, depression, or changes in life that have left you feeling uncertain about what comes next. Sometimes, having someone who listens without judgment and helps you make sense of what you’re experiencing can make all the difference. I’m a licensed mental health professional in Minnesota with 35 years of professional experience across a variety of settings. I support clients as they navigate emotional challenges, work through difficult relationships, and adjust to life’s transitions. I believe everyone deserves to be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and that healing begins when you feel understood, supported, and less alone.

My approach to therapy

Our work will begin wherever you are today, with compassion for what you’ve experienced and hope for what’s possible moving forward. I believe a trusting therapeutic relationship is an important foundation for meaningful growth. My approach centers on listening carefully, understanding your unique perspective, and creating a supportive space where you can explore your concerns openly. Together, we’ll look at how stress and anxiety, depression, relationship issues, family conflicts, and life changes may be affecting your wellbeing. I believe therapy should be personalized to your needs and experiences, with respect for your pace and goals. You don’t have to make every change at once; small, consistent steps can help you build confidence and create a more fulfilling life.

What you can expect from me

We’ll begin by getting to know one another and discussing what brought you to therapy, what has been weighing on you, and what you hope will change. You’ll have space to share your story, ask questions, and feel heard without judgment Throughout our sessions, we’ll reflect on your progress, build on what’s working, and adjust our focus as your needs evolve. Whether you’re working through anxiety, navigating family or relationship concerns, or adjusting to a new chapter in life, you won’t have to figure everything out alone. Like a journey of a thousand miles, meaningful change begins with one step. I would be honored to support you as you take yours and work toward greater peace, confidence, and fulfillment.
