Great to meet you!

Hello! I received my bachelor's degree in psychology from Ferris State University in 2019 and my master's degree in clinical social work from Western Michigan University in 2022. Upon graduation, I began working as a social worker for hospice care. From there, I transitioned to Van Buren Community Mental Health where I evaluated people looking for help to determine what clinical program would best serve their needs. In 2025, I moved into outpatient therapy. While I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and components of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I have also been trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy and other clinical interventions

My approach to therapy

Throughout my career, I have worked with older children, teens, and adults on a variety of issues, including but not limited to grief and loss, depression, anxiety, suicidality, trauma, and eating disorders. My prior work, as well as my own experiences, have given me a passion for helping others to navigate life's challenges. I especially enjoy helping others who are struggling with grief and loss, who have experienced trauma, and those who are struggling with eating disorders.

I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment to help you, your child, and/or your family learn to identify the root of the problem, find effective ways to manage said problem, and hopefully return to a more positive, healthy life. I use research and evidenced-based practices to guide clients through their journey of healing and help them reach their goals.

What you can expect from me

Our first session will be spent exploring what brought you to therapy and how best to help you moving forward. I work with individuals/families to identify treatment goals based on their desired focus and work to always explain the "why" behind any intervention that I recommend.
