Great to meet you!

I became a therapist because I believe the work we do in sessions should have a real impact on your life outside of them. To me, therapy is not about sitting across from someone and endlessly processing emotions without a clear direction forward. It is about equipping you with practical skills, reshaping the way you think, and working together to solve the problems that are getting in the way of the life you want to be living.

My approach is grounded in the belief that lasting change happens when we address the root cause of what is holding you back, not just the surface-level symptoms. It is easy to treat anxiety by helping someone feel calmer in the moment. It is harder, and far more meaningful, to understand where that anxiety is coming from and dismantle it at its source. That is the work I am committed to doing with my clients.

I bring a wide range of therapeutic styles to each session and adapt based on what fits you best. What works for one person may not work for another, and I take that seriously. No two clients are the same, and no two treatment plans should be either. One framework I return to often is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, or CBT, which is a research-backed approach that focuses on identifying the unhelpful thought patterns driving your emotions and behaviors, and then actively reshaping them into more constructive ones. CBT is practical by design. It gives you tools you can use in real life, not just inside a therapy session.

Whether you are working through anxiety, struggling to reach your goals, or feeling stuck in cycles you cannot seem to break, I am here to help you figure out what is in the way and build a clear, personalized path forward.

I support those navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress management challenges, including panic disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and sleep disorders.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is direct, collaborative, and built around you. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all model, and I am not interested in therapy that only skims the surface. The goal of our work together is to get you on the right path by understanding what is actually driving your challenges, not just managing how those challenges show up day to day.

Therapy, in my view, should feel productive. That means we are not just talking about how things make you feel. We are identifying what patterns of thinking or behavior are keeping you stuck, exploring alternative ways of approaching those situations, and building real, actionable skills that make a difference. I want you to leave each session with something you can actually use.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic styles depending on what fits your needs, your personality, and your goals. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps you identify and reshape unhelpful thoughts, is often a strong starting point because it is structured, concrete, and grounded in results. From there, we adjust and build based on what works best for you and what your circumstances call for.

Above all, I see this as a collaboration. You are the expert on your own life, and I am here to bring the clinical tools and outside perspective that can help you see things differently and move forward with more clarity and confidence.

I work with individuals experiencing grief and bereavement, end of life issues, infertility, chronic conditions such as diabetes, and other health-related disabilities that impact emotional well-being. My practice also supports clients living with bipolar disorder (also known as manic depressive illness), attention deficit disorder (ADD/ADHD), eating disorders, alcohol and substance abuse concerns, anger management and impulse control difficulties, and complex family or relationship issues.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is focused on getting to know you and understanding what brought you to therapy. I will ask about what has been going on in your life, what you have already tried, and what you are hoping to get out of our time together. There is no pressure to have a neat summary ready. We will work through it together.

From the very beginning, I am focused on identifying what is actually holding you back from your goals, not just cataloguing your symptoms. I want to understand the full picture so that we can start building a plan that is genuinely tailored to you and your circumstances.

By the end of our first session, you will have a clearer sense of what our work together will look like, and you will leave with a real sense of direction. My goal is for you to walk out feeling like therapy is something that is going to work for you, because it will be designed specifically around what you need.
