Great to meet you!

My name is Callas, pronounces like Dallas but with a "C". Named after the opera singer Maria Callas. I have a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Master's in Public Adminstration. I am a Maryland Board Certified Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) who has a well-rounded background and several years of experience being a helping professional. I have experience working within the community, inpatient and outpatient substance abuse, court system, veterans, and corrections with adults and adolescents who have difficulty managing symptoms related to anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), personality disorders, difficulty with interpersonal relationships, those suffering from chronic or terminal illnesses, and issues relating to diversity and inclusion. There is no ideal client. Every human being has to figure out how to live life on the terms that are best for them, in a way that is functional and allows them not just to survive but thrive.

My approach to therapy

The first approach I take in therapy is to build rapport and healthy communication with the client, which is imperative for the therapeutic relationship; then, I have a variety of different modalities I can choose from that will best fit the needs of each individual I work with.

What you can expect from me

I love helping individuals live the life that is best for them, and I believe that helping people is not only my passion but my purpose. It’s time to unpack the invisible backpack of stuff, and together we can figure out what’s the healthy solution to getting to your best life.
