Great to meet you!

Hi there! My name is Camari Claiborne-Scott and I would like to commend you on taking the first step towards your healing journey. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and received my bachelor’s degree in psychology from North Carolina A&T State University and master of social work degree from Winthrop University.

A bit about my approach to therapy

As a therapist, I’m extremely passionate about meeting individuals where they are and providing a person-centered approach that allows the client to be the expert of their own treatment. I like to take a collaborative approach as I truly believe that you are the only person who has overcome your experiences and understands how they have impacted you. Treatment modalities that are integrated include cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, and strengths-based perspective.

What you can expect from our first session

Through different approaches, my goal is to help improve your overall ability to provide self-compassion and self-validation as you begin to build their own voice. I strive to empower individuals to believe that they can live in their full truth and improve their perspective of themselves, others, and the world around them.
