Great to meet you!

I am an outcome-driven therapist who will work with you to start feeling like your best self. If you feel like you are stuck in the same patterns that aren’t working anymore, I will help you to explore new ways of approaching goals and relationship patterns and actually implement them into your daily life. I have over 10 years working in healthcare settings including 7 years in clinical mental health settings. Outside of therapy sessions, I enjoy being in nature, spending time with my dog, running, cycling, and creative pursuits.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy should be a place you can feel supported in expanding your comfort zone. I promote this through humor, grounding exercises, self-exploration, and goal-setting. I am skilled in chronic condition management (pain, diabetes, injuries), trauma, anxiety, panic disorders, depression, grief, and life stress. My modalities include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Cognitive Processing for Trauma (CPT). I am also passionate about coordination with other providers who may be involved in your care such as psychiatry, primary care, and specialists to address whole-person wellness.

What you can expect from me

Often times people start therapy having a difficult time knowing what life will look like when they start to “feel better.” I will help you define this in the first session by exploring your personal strengths, and also defining the things in life that aren’t going well. We will set achievable goals to gain confidence in handling whatever life is throwing your way. We will also explore a brief history of what is impacting your current situation. You will leave your first session with a clear idea of how we can work together as a team to achieve goals.
