Great to meet you!

Hello, I am Candace Hoversten, MSW, LICSW. I bring a lot of passion to what I do in connection with others. I provide therapy from a feminist and multi-cultural perspective. You will quickly find my clinical approach to be relaxed, relatable, and professional.

I utilize a variety of regulation and relation-based interventions to address stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, and other conditions. I’m a science geek at heart and incorporate current research and science into everyday applications.

My approach to therapy

Things I talk about:

  • How the brain functions under stress
  • The mind-body connection
  • How all people are wired for connection
  • Healthy relationship dynamics
  • Self care (regulation)
  • Functional psychotherapy made accessible and translatable for everyone
  • How community and society impact our health and resilience

What you can expect from me

It is really important to me to offer transparency in our relationship. Transparency in what I am communicating, how I can help, ways I can't, the cost of care and accountability to your health goals.

I will always provide you with recommendations based on my education and clinical experience. And honor that you are the expert on your lived and embodied experiences. I am your health partner.
