Great to meet you!

I believe in the resilience inside each of us—even when it feels unreachable. Because of that, I obtained my Masters in Professional Counseling at Central Michigan University in 1998. I have been a therapist in Michigan, Kentucky and Arizona. Throughout the course of my career, I have become passionate about supporting individuals who are experiencing anxiety, surviving trauma and abuse, navigating women's issues, and adjusting to life's challenges. This often also involves working with clients who may be struggling with depression and trauma related to their relationships or family.

My approach to therapy

My practice is rooted in compassion and connection. I draw from person-centered approaches including Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness. With CBT, we’ll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better. But more than anything, I seek the approach that best fits you.

What you can expect from me

In our first few sessions, we’ll work together to build a safe, trusting therapeutic relationship where respect and understanding are at the center. From there, we’ll co-create a plan that empowers you to move toward your mental and emotional wellness goals. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter.

And if you'd like to incorporate your Christian faith into our counseling journey, I’d be honored and blessed to do so. I believe God is the ultimate healer, and faith can be a powerful guide on the road to wellness.
