Great to meet you!

Hi, I’m Carl, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who specializes in working with individuals navigating stress, life transitions, and emotional challenges. My background is in counseling psychology, and I’ve spent years supporting youth, young adults, and families through both therapy and mentoring. I take a warm, real, and collaborative approach, helping you understand your patterns while also giving you practical tools to move forward. My focus is creating a space where you feel heard, supported, and able to grow into the version of yourself you’re working toward.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is rooted in Adlerian psychology, with an emphasis on understanding how your life experiences, relationships, and beliefs shape the way you move through the world. I help clients explore patterns, uncover purpose, and make sense of how past experiences connect to present behaviors.

I take an integrative approach, blending insight with practical tools so you’re not just gaining awareness, but also learning how to apply change in your everyday life. My style is warm, direct, and collaborative. I will support you while also challenging you in ways that promote growth and accountability.

I also integrate mentoring elements into my work, especially for clients who benefit from guidance, structure, and real-world application. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to move forward with clarity and intention.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a relaxed and welcoming space where we focus on getting to know you, not rushing into fixing anything. We’ll talk about what brought you in, what you’ve been experiencing, and what you want to see change in your life.

I’ll ask thoughtful questions to better understand your background, patterns, and goals, while also giving you space to share at your own pace. Together, we’ll begin identifying what direction you want to move in and what progress could look like for you.

By the end of the session, you can expect to feel heard, gain some initial clarity, and walk away with a sense of how we’ll work together moving forward, including a few early goals to guide our work.
