Great to meet you!

Hello! I'm glad you made it here! My aim is to support and empower you to reach your goals. I am here to provide you with ideas, insight and education as we work together collaboratively. I am happy to include anyone else you wish in your treatment plan. My approach is centered on a holistic, whole-person perspective.

As for me, I have two bachelor's degrees - one in psychology and the other in nursing. I completed graduate school as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I have served people in my local outpatient community, inpatient (medical as well as psychiatric), in the state hospital, intensive outpatient programs, and more. I am also happy and very comfortable working alongside people with developmental disabilities, those on the neurodivergent spectrum, and those that are a part of the LGBTQ+ community.

My approach to therapy

Wherever you are starting from, I believe we can navigate as a team toward your goals, together. Our first meeting is an opportunity for me to learn about your needs, history and desires. From there we create a plan that makes sense for you. I am very open to ideas (as long as we keep safety in mind) and collaborative planning. You can expect to get a lot of information and support from me.

I am also comfortable in providing brief supportive therapy as well as help to find a long-term therapist that you really connect with. I can provide support around emotional stabilization, cognitive distortions, and mindfulness / grounding techniques.

I am happy to hear your feedback. Did the medication we discussed have too many side effects? Didn't work as desired? Ready to move on with treatment and you have some ideas? I am open-minded and believe we'll be learning from each other about what serves you best!

What you can expect from me

The most important thing I want you to take away from our time together, is a sense of feeling truly supported. Maybe you're tired of medication trials? Maybe you're hesitant to start medication? Maybe we need to include integrative or natural treatment options? It's crucial that you feel on-board with YOUR treatment plan and how we reach your goals.

I also seek to create a space that feels safe to explore, vent, express, and more. My hope is that you really feel like you can be yourself and be seen and heard. We're already in a chaotic world that can leave us feeling small. When you leave our shared time together, I hope you feel just a bit bigger in your Selfhood.

Navigating mental wellness can be so much easier when we take these steps together. If you're ready, so am I.
