Great to meet you!

Welcome, I’m glad you’re here. I hold a doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico, and my goal is to make therapy a safe, supportive, and meaningful process.

In our first session, we’ll discuss what brings you here and set goals together, ensuring you feel heard and empowered from the start. My approach is compassionate and collaborative, drawing from evidence-based methods while tailoring each session to your needs.

I work best with individuals and families navigating anxiety, trauma, or challenging family dynamics. If you’re ready to begin a journey toward healing, resilience, and healthier relationships, I would be honored to support you.

My approach to therapy

My Approach to Therapy

My approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. I draw from several evidence-based methods to provide a well-rounded, supportive, and effective therapeutic experience. I aim to help clients gain insight, build practical skills, and move toward lasting personal growth and healthier relationships.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT): I help clients recognize how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are connected. Together, we identify unhelpful patterns, build healthier ways of thinking, and practice new coping strategies that can be used daily.
  • Mind-Body Approach: I view mental and physical health as deeply interconnected. Using mindfulness, relaxation, and somatic awareness, I guide clients in managing stress, healing from trauma, and fostering overall balance.
  • Mindfulness-Based Therapy: I integrate mindfulness and meditation practices to build awareness, acceptance, and self-compassion. These tools help reduce stress, manage anxiety or depression, and support long-term emotional resilience.
  • Relational Therapy: I emphasize the importance of relationships, including the therapeutic one we build together. By exploring relational patterns and past experiences, I help clients strengthen communication and create healthier connections.
  • Family Therapy: When working with families, I focus on improving communication, understanding patterns across generations, and resolving conflicts in a collaborative way. My goal is to support the family as a whole while honoring the role of each member.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, you can expect a welcoming and supportive space where we’ll begin by getting to know each other. I’ll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, what you’d like to work on, and what you hope to gain from the process. Together, we’ll outline goals and start building a roadmap tailored to your needs. My priority is to make sure you feel heard, understood, and comfortable as we lay the foundation for a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship.
