Great to meet you!

Welcome! My name is Carly and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who is passionate about helping children, teens, and young adults navigate anxiety, phobias, OCD, and everyday life challenges. I earned my undergraduate degree in Communication, as well as master’s degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling, from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. As a former school counselor for seven years, I supported children and adolescents in navigating academic, social, emotional, and family-related challenges across multiple areas of their lives. I also have experience working in community-based and family-centered settings with children and adolescents facing challenges related to anxiety, ADHD, OCD behavioral concerns, and emotional regulation, providing support tailored to each child’s individual needs.

My approach to therapy

I believe healing involves more than reducing symptoms—it’s about helping clients build resilience, find balance, and feel empowered in their everyday lives. My approach to counseling is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals. I strive to create a supportive space where children, teens, and young adults feel understood, encouraged, and comfortable being themselves.

Using evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I support clients navigating anxiety, OCD, phobias, behavioral challenges, and life transitions. With an energetic and encouraging style, I help clients build confidence, strengthen coping skills, and develop positive, lasting change.

What you can expect from me

In our first session, we will explore the challenges currently impacting your life, as well as what you hope to gain from therapy. Together, we will collaboratively identify meaningful goals and create an individualized, gradual plan to help you build confidence, develop coping strategies, and make lasting progress at a pace that feels supportive and manageable. My goal is to provide a safe, encouraging environment where clients feel empowered throughout their therapeutic journey.
