Great to meet you!

As a LCSW, I specialize in anxiety disorders, trauma recovery, and communication among people especially couples. My experience as a Special Education Director gives me unique insight into educational challenges and high-pressure professional environments. I deeply respect diverse beliefs, cultures, and spiritual orientations, creating an inclusive, affirming space for transformative therapeutic work. LGBTQIA+ ally; poly-aware; sex positive; nonjudgmental and open to all human experience. I work on a 55 minute hour. My website: https://www.poppyperspectives.org/

My approach to therapy

I integrate evidence-based practices like DBT, CBT, and REBT, IFS and the Gottman couples methods with depth-oriented approaches including psychodynamic, relational, and trauma-focused therapy. My methodology incorporates narrative therapy, dream analysis, and Jungian perspectives. I emphasize solution-focused frameworks while maintaining cultural sensitivity. Through strategic inquiry, I help clients examine their thought patterns and belief systems to develop authentic solutions in a professionally structured environment.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to engage in both immediate problem-solving and deeper psychological work within a rigorous therapeutic framework. Through our collaborative process, they'll develop personally authentic solutions while working toward optimal self-actualization. My approach combines evidence-based interventions with thoughtful exploration, leading to meaningful personal growth and sustainable positive change that honors both empirical research and individual experience.
