Great to meet you!

It’s wonderful to virtually meet you. I’m Carol Blair-Houston, the founder and lead practitioner at Positive Vibration L.L.C. and I'm a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Masters Social Worker and a Certified Advanced Addictions Counselor. Our goal is to assist you in creating more peace and empowerment in navigating life's ups and downs. My journey into mental health care was deeply personal. As a Registered Nurse, I spent 18 years in previous specialties such as the ER and In-patient Behavioral health, where I saw firsthand how much mental distress affected my patients' overall health.

My approach to therapy

Positive Vibration, LLC., specializes in partnering with adults and geriatrics dealing with anxiety, depression, sleep disorders and life transitions. We believes that optimal mental wellness is achieved through a collaborative assessment that integrates lifestyle, physical health, and psychological components alongside pharmacological management.

What does that mean for you? It means I approach your care with a blend of scientific expertise and genuine empathy, rooted in my nursing and social work background. I believe in listening deeply, understanding your unique story, and working with you to create a personalized plan.

What you can expect from me

Taking the step to seek support for your mental well-being is a profound act of courage, and it's one I deeply respect. As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), my primary goal for our initial meeting is to lay a foundation of trust, understanding, and shared purpose. Think of it not as an evaluation, but as an open invitation – an introductory session where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story, in your own words, and at your own pace.

This initial session is where we begin to sketch the outline of your unique therapeutic journey. It’s where we identify the starting point, illuminate the path forward, and define the destination you envision for yourself. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you. This journey is a partnership, and I am committed to walking alongside you, providing evidence-based care, support, and guidance as you cultivate resilience, foster healing, and move towards a life of greater peace and fulfillment.

Welcome. I look forward to meeting you.
