Great to meet you!

Mental health struggles impact everyone. It is up to us to take action to seek out those professionally trained to help us navigate our challenges. This assists us in achieving our goals of better coping, higher functioning, and creating stronger connections that result in happier, more resilient and better versions of ourselves. I have experience working with clients from every socioeconomic background and most diagnoses including those who struggle with the lasting effects of ongoing or past substance use and trauma. I have a greater understanding of the impacts declining mental health can have on every aspect of our lives.

My approach to therapy

I am here to empower you to be a better version of yourself.

I use an honest and direct approach and engage in humor, when appropriate.

My approach to therapy is that you get out of it what you put into it.

We set measurable goals so that you can see yourself making progress.

I am here to help you figure out ways to make your life better through sharing, engaging, utilizing copings skills, and processing life stressors and or trauma, and through coping with symptoms of anxiety/depression.

My approach to therapy is that it is just one piece of the whole mental health pie that can include other positive influencers such as social connection, spirituality/religion, self-care, mindfulness, breathing, meditation, diet, exercise, and overall health.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, we will get to know each other by discussing the initial assessment including some specific relevant background information. We will identify goals you have for treatment and barriers you are facing to achieving those goals. We can coordinate future availability and coordinate any additional paperwork or releases of information that may need to be signed.
