Hi! My name is Carolyn and I absolutely LOVE my role in the Wilmington community as a Social Work clinician! I have lived in Southeastern North Carolina for 25 years, contributing to the academic growth of special needs children in the community followed by improving the mental health of our healthcare workers and others in the community. I have had my private practice full time for 10 years and thoroughly enjoy each day in my work!
I use a coaching and collaboration style to therapy. WE are your team! I primarily take a Solution-Focused approach to therapy with my clients, but I also like to think outside the box! I am an energetic and interactive therapist who will listen with empathy as well as hold you accountable to the work you commit to. I approach children with creative therapies and play techniques and come alongside parents and family members as an advocate.
My goal for each session is for my client to learn a little more about themself, primarily by discovering strengths, skills, and attributes that have been there all along!
