Great to meet you!

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's in Counseling and Human Services. I specialize in children, adolescents and adults. Experienced with ADHD, depression, anxiety, PTSD and adjustment disorders. My ideal client is open to the possibility that therapy can bring change, hope that life can get better and trust that I can provide a safe and respectful space to process the challenges and vulnerabilities life brings.

My approach to therapy

What is the greatest thing about being human? We have the ability to feel intense emotion! What is the worst part of being human? We have the ability to feel intense emotion! At our best moments, we feel love, joy and harmony in our lives. We are our best self. At our worst moments we feel pain, loneliness and depression. Somewhere in the middle is real life. In session with Carolyn, you will have an opportunity to explore all of the emotions and understand what it is that you want for yourself

What you can expect from me

Carolyn uses evidence-based approaches to treat each client. What does this mean? Every client is an individual with individual needs so each client will be treated with the most effective approach to meet their needs. The most common approaches used are Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness/DBT, Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Focused approaches learned
