Great to meet you!

For the past 15 years, my journey as a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor in New Mexico has been rooted in the privilege of helping individuals establish a safe and empowering space for healing. I specialize in helping clients with stress, anxiety, trauma, depression, abuse, and family conflicts. I also frequently support individuals navigating addictions, relationship issues, grief, parenting struggles, and major life changes. Working towards a fulfilling and happier life can be challenging, especially when carrying the weight of multicultural concerns or self-esteem issues. However, we can work together to restore hope and balance. I am here to support and empower you on that journey.

My doctoral work focuses on integrated care, with an emphasis on the connection between mental health and physical health. I recognize that emotional well-being, chronic health conditions, stress, sleep, pain, and lifestyle factors are often deeply interconnected. Because of this, I take a whole-person approach that considers the biological, psychological, social, cultural, and environmental factors that influence health and healing.

I value creating a therapeutic space where clients feel respected, understood, and empowered. My work is guided by a strong commitment to health equity, cultural humility, and trauma-informed care.

My approach to therapy

I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. My role is to help you better understand your experiences, identify barriers to well-being, and develop practical tools that support your goals. I strive to meet clients where they are and tailor treatment to their unique needs, values, and life circumstances.

My approach integrates evidence-based practices, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), and resilience-focused interventions. Whether you are working through trauma, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship challenges, or major life transitions, I aim to provide a safe and supportive environment that promotes healing, growth, and self-discovery

What you can expect from me

Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and begin building a strong therapeutic relationship. We will discuss what brings you to therapy, your current concerns, relevant life experiences, and what you hope to gain from our work together. I will also answer any questions you may have about the therapy process.

The first session is not about having all the answers or sharing everything at once. Instead, it is a chance to create a foundation of trust, identify your goals, and develop an initial plan that feels meaningful and achievable. My goal is for you to leave the session feeling heard and understood, with a clearer sense of how therapy can support your journey toward greater well-being.
