Great to meet you!

You are a consumer of therapy and I'd like to support you in possibly solving some issues, hearing you out, and giving you some honest feedback. I have been a social worker for almost 20 years and bring a lot of experience and a strong foundation in the foundation of the field - resources, a broad range of exposure, and a practical approach.

My approach to therapy

I am curious about people, I enjoy asking questions and trying to understand where you are coming from while also serving your goals for attending therapy. I have a fairly casual approach. I have range of experiences in inpatient hospital settings and consider myself with the strongest foundation in aging/death/dying/end of life, postpartum/new parents, substance use/abuse, grief/loss, chronic illness, and cross cultural & lgbtq care.

What you can expect from me

I think the first appointment can be the most useful for us as it is usually where you are the most motivated or perhaps articulate as to what made you start or re start therapy. At this appointment we can begin to get to know some about one another and whether we'll be a good match and also hopefully cut most directly to what you want to gain from sessions.
