Great to meet you!

My introduction to counseling started well before I became a clinician. As a widow left to raise young children, life was overwhelming and felt impossible to bear. Fear, anxiety, depression, and debilitating emotional pain worked overtime to leave me feeling hopeless. My faith and the decision to reach out for help changed my life. It was empowering; providing tools to not only survive but to thrive. I look forward to helping you discover your power over what led you to seek support.

My approach to therapy

My therapeutic approach is holistic and person centered. It focuses on your strengths (internal and external) and primarily draws from faith based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. I believe transformation “by the renewing of your mind” is key as you live in a world filled with disappointments and stressors that can leave you feeling helpless and vulnerable. Correcting and replacing inaccurate beliefs about self and the world helps to discover truths of who you are and what you are capable of.

What you can expect from me

As your therapist, I will meet you where you are and collaboratively develop plans of care. I will not only address surface symptoms that have led you to seek help but will also guide and support you in identifying, exploring, challenging, and when needed, rebuilding the core of what drives your symptoms so you are better equipped to successfully navigate life's journey.
