Great to meet you!

I'm Cassie, a licensed professional counselor with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mid-America Christian University. I bring three years of clinical experience as a therapist, supported by an additional decade of work in the foster care field, which shaped my understanding of resilience, trauma, and the diverse experiences people carry into adulthood.

I have provided support to clients across the lifespan, from young children to older adults, and now focus exclusively on working with adults. My approach integrates a range of evidence-based modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT).

I work with individuals facing challenges such as stress management, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family or relationship concerns. My goal is to create a supportive, collaborative therapeutic space where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences, build new insights, and make meaningful changes in their lives.

My approach to therapy

I show up with warmth, respect, and genuine curiosity about who you are, not just what you’re struggling with. I believe therapy works best when you feel safe, seen, and understood, so I focus on creating a space where you can explore your experiences without judgment. I move at your pace, and I value collaboration, your voice, your story, and your goals guide our work together.

We’ll focus on practical tools, emotional insight, and real conversations; not therapy-speak or endless digging without direction. You get to show up as your full self, and we’ll figure it out from there, one step at a time.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is all about getting to know you—what’s been weighing on you, what you want to change, and what you hope therapy can offer. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out. I’ll ask some gentle questions to understand your experiences and get a sense of how I can best support you, but you’re always in control of what you want to share.

We’ll talk through what working together might look like, including the types of approaches I use and how we can shape our sessions around your goals, comfort level, and pace. This is also your chance to ask questions, express preferences, or share anything that will help you feel safe and supported in the space.

By the end of our session, we’ll have a clearer picture of where we’re headed together—whether that means learning new skills, exploring patterns in your life, or finding better ways to navigate stress, anxiety, depression, or relationship challenges. My hope is that you leave feeling understood, grounded, and hopeful about the path forward.
