Great to meet you!

Born and raised in a healthcare family, I grew up at the dinner table hearing about all things, medicine and healthcare. I went into the field on my own for the first time at 18 years old and have never left. My first degree is a Bachelor of Science In Applied Psychology. I then went and completed a Bachelor of Nursing followed by my Master’s in Nursing and my Post Masters Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health. I have extensive experience working with children and adolescence as well as adults. I am an engaged active listener, and I excel at making sure patients feel comfortable and heard.

My approach to therapy

I prefer to develop a thorough understanding of my patients' symptoms before making any clinical decisions. I appreciate that I am only able to spend an hour or two a month with my patients. Because of this fact, I do not presume that I know more about what they are going through than they do. What this means to me is that I try to treat treatment decisions as a team decision and not to dictate treatment plans or medication choices.

What you can expect from me

First visits often involve a lot of data gathering. I do not press people to provide more information than they are comfortable sharing. I find patients are often nervous before their first appointment and often leave feeling calm and heard.
