My name is Cathy Troue PMHNP-BC and I have been in the mental health field since 1991. I have a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and a Masters in Nursing. I was a therapist for 15 years and I have a strong background in mental health and substance abuse issues. I now work as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner providing both therapy and medication management for various mental health and substance abuse issues.
I believe that every patient deserves to be heard and helped with their mental health. I am a different kind of provider in that I want to listen to my patients and I care. I strive to treat my patients as I would want my own family to be treated. I have found that using this approach produces the best outcome for my patients.
I want everyone that I meet to feel comfortable to talk with me and know that their concerns are being heard. I have a very flexible schedule so that everyone can be seen, even on weekends! I strive to provide the best possible care to all of my patients. I want to make mental wellness available to everyone no matter when they can attend a session or how much they can afford.
