Great to meet you!

If someone you love is struggling with substance use, or your family is carrying more stress than anyone talks about, you're in the right place. I work with individuals and families navigating crisis, transitions, and the emotional weight that builds when you're trying to stay connected to others while taking care of yourself. I especially love working with parents, caregivers, and men who want to show up differently without burning out in the process. As a bilingual therapist (English and Spanish), I've spent years in emergency settings doing crisis intervention and psychiatric assessments, and I've led clinical work with families affected by substance use. I've been with people in some of their hardest moments, and I know how much it means to finally have somewhere to bring all of it.

My approach to therapy

My style is collaborative, practical, and deeply attentive to who you are. Culture, family, and identity aren't background information in our work, they're central to it. I draw from Motivational Interviewing, CRAFT skills, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and family-centered models to help you build tools that actually fit your life. Whether you're navigating anxiety, depression, a major transition, or the impact of a loved one's choices, we focus on what matters most to you and move at a pace that feels sustainable, not rushed.

What you can expect from me

Our first session is a conversation, not an intake. We'll talk about what brought you here, what you're hoping to change, and what's felt impossible to shift on your own. No pressure to share everything at once. I'll listen carefully, ask questions that help us both get oriented, and by the end you'll have a clear sense of what working together looks like. Most people leave feeling heard, and that's a pretty good start.
