Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Clinical Social worker that specializes in providing compassionate support to individuals navigating trauma, PTSD, intimate partner violence, depression, anxiety, and military/veteran support. My practice focuses on empowering clients aged 18 and above to heal and grow in a safe and supportive environment.

I received my Masters of Social Work with a specialization in Trauma and Interpersonal Violence from Simmons University in 2016 and achieved full clinical licensure in 2020. Through my experiences working with military members and their families, I have learned the importance of a holistic approach to therapy, focusing not just on symptom management, but also on addressing the root cause, and helping clients build skills that can be used outside of the session. After all, in any given week, there are 167 hours’ worth of living done outside of therapy.

My approach to therapy

As the Client, you are the expert of your life. My role as the therapist is to come along side you to work collaboratively on your identified goals. I strive to create a therapeutic alliance built on trust, respect, and understanding. Together, we will explore your experiences, identify strengths, and develop coping strategies to foster resilience and personal growth. I am passionate about helping individuals reclaim their lives and thrive. Drawing from evidence-based treatment modalities including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Processing Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I tailor my approach to best suit your individual journey towards healing and recovery.

What you can expect from me

Our first session together is a “get to know you” and a “get to know therapy” session. I explore the challenges that are bringing you to therapy, how you feel they have impacted you, and the changes you would like to see. We will review the clinical assessments you completed prior to our first session. I will provide an overview of what therapy is and most importantly what it isn’t. We will discuss the benefits of specific therapeutic interventions and begin the collaborative process of treatment planning.
