Hi. Charity is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C). She graduated from University of Maryland, School of Social Work, with a master’s degree majoring in Children and Families. She has over sixteen years of social work experience, over nine years of clinical work and is experienced in working with children, adults, individuals and couples.
Charity utilizes the eclectic approach in mental health counseling and focuses more on psychoanalytic and cognitive behavioral therapy because she believes in treating the cause and not just the symptoms. Her areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, anger management, post-traumatic stress, life transitions as well as self-esteem and relationship issues.
Charity understands the complexities of life and aspires to assist you in becoming the best version of yourself. She provides a safe, non-judgmental space, affirms your experiences through radical acceptance and empowers you in the journey to recovery. During our work together, we will explore foundational issues including symptoms and challenges. This will help us establish expectations as well as goals and develop a tailored treatment plan that directs the course of our sessions.
