Great to meet you!
Dr. Britt Beasley, a North Carolina native, earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then moved to Richmond, Virginia, where he completed a Master’s degree in Neurobiology and a Doctor of Medicine at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Medicine. Dr. Beasley pursued his residency in general psychiatry at Mount Sinai in Manhattan.
Following residency, Dr. Beasley worked at the Department of Veterans Affairs hospital in Philadelphia and served as a Clinical Associate at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, where he taught medical students and psychiatry residents. During his time in Philadelphia, he co-founded a private practice alongside another Christian psychiatrist and a team of Christian therapists. Together, they partnered with local churches to provide mental health care rooted in biblical principles while collaborating with church leaders.
After nine years in Philadelphia, Dr. Beasley returned to Richmond two years ago, bringing with him extensive experience in integrating faith and science within psychiatric care. His practice reflects a commitment to addressing mental health holistically, combining his expertise in neurobiology with a compassionate, faith-informed approach to treatment.
