Great to meet you!

Hello, I'm Charlie Wolfe, LCPC, C-DBT, and I cover the entire state of Maryland. My journey into the world of mental health began with a profound personal experience. A traumatic event early in my life redirected my path from becoming a neurologist to exploring the depths of human relationships and mental health. This experience not only shaped my career but also instilled in me a passion for extreme sports like rock climbing and base jumping, as I refused to let trauma define me. Instead, I chose to become a survivor and help others do the same.

My therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive-behavioral therapy, and I draw from various methods, including Dialectical Behavior Therapy (C-DBT), Grief Counsel (CGP), Trauma-Informed Care (CCTP), Multicultural Care, Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Style. Mindfulness Practices (CMIP), Anger Management, and Pain Management. I believe that change is not easy and often uncomfortable, but it is essential for growth. My goal is to help you rewrite your story and embrace the changes necessary for a fulfilling life. I hold post-graduate certification in trauma, mindfulness, grief all through the lens of being a DBT therapist.

If you are ready to embrace change and discover your potential, let's work together to achieve your goals. Reach out, and let's start this transformative journey together. Alway understand my practice motto; "You are the expert of you." "One team," "Do what I say I will," "Responsible," "Diversity and inclusion," and "Learning and development in clients as much as self." My sole internal agenda for you is self-inspiration!

My approach to therapy

Everyone has a unique story and deserves an individualized approach to care. Once we decide to work together, we’ll act as partners in your therapeutic journey. It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected in our relationship. I’ll be there to listen to you, challenge you, and support you along the way.

What you can expect from me

I always start with an introductory session, where you’ll have the opportunity to share your story and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work together to figure this out! I strive to create a warm, welcoming environment that allows you to feel comfortable sharing and being vulnerable, while also feeling secure. From there, we’ll work together in the sessions that follow to make these goals a reality for you.
