Great to meet you!

Chase Cummins has a Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology and is experienced helping people diagnosed with ADHD and autism, many of whom are co-occuring with mental health challenges, including depression, anxiety, trauma, relational trauma, adjustment-related challenges, life transitions, grief, LGBTQIA+ related issues, learning problems, school problems, and parenting challenges.

My approach to therapy

Therapeutically, Dr. Cummins brings a unique blend of cognitive-behavioral (CBT), psychodynamic, and family-systems modalities into his work. He is also well-trained in emotion-focused family therapy and certified in implementing dialectic behavioral therapy (DBT).

What you can expect from me

Dr. Cummins strives to individualize therapy for each client, ensures therapeutic goals are fully aligned to the client's wants and needs, and actively seeks feedback to maintain continual collaboration with your treatment.

Therapy can be difficult, but Dr. Cummins knows that the most important part about therapy is the working relationship. What might this look like? You can expect to feel seen, heard, and understood, while occasionally getting challenged to encourage personal growth. Because many of us tend to overlook our successes, Dr. Cummins likes to take time to notice our wins, whether they be big or small, and to help you notice your growth in real time.

Sometimes our perceived shortcomings can become our greatest strengths with the right perspective.
