Great to meet you!

Clients should know that I bring over 25 years of experience working in a variety of clinical settings, and I’m deeply committed to creating a space where you feel safe, heard, and understood. I take a compassionate, down-to-earth approach and believe that real change happens when we can be honest about what we’re going through, without judgment.

I work with adults navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship challenges, christian counseling and grief. I also have experience supporting individuals through more complex concerns such as trauma, shame, and affair recovery. My goal is to help you better understand what’s going on beneath the surface while also giving you practical tools to feel more grounded and in control of your life.

If faith is an important part of your life, I’m comfortable integrating that into our work together in a way that feels natural and supportive but only if that’s something you want. Above all, you don’t have to go through this alone.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is both insight-oriented and practical. I believe it’s important to understand where your struggles come from, whether that’s past experiences, relationships, or patterns that have developed over time, while also focusing on tools you can use right now to feel better.

I work collaboratively with you, tailoring each session to your specific needs and goals. This may include exploring underlying emotions, identifying unhelpful patterns, and building skills to manage anxiety, depression, stress, and life transitions more effectively. My style is compassionate, direct, and grounded, with an emphasis on helping you feel supported while also moving toward meaningful change.

For clients who desire it, I also incorporate faith into the therapeutic process, helping you explore how your beliefs can be a source of strength and healing.

What you can expect from me

In your first session, you can expect a relaxed, welcoming space where we begin getting to know each other. I’ll ask questions about what’s bringing you in, your current concerns, and any important background that will help me better understand your situation. There’s no pressure to share everything all at once, we’ll go at a pace that feels comfortable for you.

We’ll also talk about what you’re hoping to get out of therapy and begin identifying goals for our work together. I’ll answer any questions you have about the process so you feel informed and at ease.

Many clients leave the first session feeling a sense of relief, just having a place to talk openly, and with a clearer idea of next steps, along with a few initial tools or perspectives to begin moving forward.
