Great to meet you!

I am a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with over six years of experience providing psychiatric care across the lifespan. I completed my training through Johns Hopkins University and the University of Cincinnati, where I received strong clinical grounding in both medication management and therapeutic practice. I treat a wide range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, trauma-related disorders, bipolar disorder, ADHD, and psychotic disorders, among others.

I bring a warm, open, and down-to-earth style to my work. I value humor, compassion, curiosity, and authenticity in the therapeutic relationship. I am faith-informed, meaning I am open to exploring spiritual or values-based themes when they are meaningful to the client — but I do not center treatment around faith or direct clients in any particular belief. I welcome and honor individuals from all backgrounds and identities.

I believe healing is collaborative. I bring clinical knowledge, and the client brings lived experience. Together, we co-create a plan that supports emotional wellness, growth, and self-understanding. My goal is for clients to feel heard, respected, understood, and supported, every step of the way.

My approach to therapy

My approach is client-centered, relational, and collaborative. I do not believe care should be one-sided. We work together to identify underlying patterns, emotions, and life experiences contributing to current challenges. While I do prescribe medication when it is clinically appropriate, I aim to use the least amount necessary and I approach medication as one tool among many — not the center of treatment.

Therapy, reflection, coping skills, emotional understanding, and addressing root causes play a central role in the work we do. I maintain a flexible, respectful, and non-judgmental environment where clients are invited to explore what matters most to them. If a client wishes to incorporate spiritual or values-based reflection, I support that; if not, we simply focus on the psychological and emotional work. Client autonomy always comes first.

What you can expect from me

Your first session will feel supportive, conversational, and grounded in understanding. We will take time to talk about:

  • What brings you here
  • What you are feeling and experiencing now
  • Your personal history and strengths
  • What you hope to work toward or change

There is no pressure, no judgment, and no rush. We move at your pace. By the end of the session, you can expect to feel:

  • Heard
  • Respected
  • Understood
  • And actively involved in your treatment plan

We will begin building a care plan together — one that fits who you are, what matters to you, and what supports your growth and wellness.
