Great to meet you!

I am centered on being kind and useful in my own life and living to the best of my experience and ability. I believe that not all who wander are lost. Every person has their own path, struggles, purpose, and journey toward growth and healing. I see it as an honor to help someone discover the direction that brings them closer to their goals, values, and sense of purpose.

My role as a therapist is not to tell people who they should be, but to help them better understand themselves, overcome barriers, and develop the tools necessary to move forward in healthier and more meaningful ways. I believe people are capable of change, resilience, and growth when they are treated with respect, honesty, compassion, and accountability.

Therapy should be a place where individuals feel safe enough to explore difficult experiences while also being challenged to grow. I strive to create an environment that is genuine, supportive, practical, and grounded in real-life application. Helping others reconnect with hope, purpose, stability, and personal strength is one of the greatest privileges of this work.

My approach to therapy

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, direct, compassionate, and solution focused. I believe people are capable of growth, healing, and meaningful change when provided with the right environment, support, education, and accountability. Therapy is not simply about reducing symptoms—it is about helping individuals better understand themselves, improve relationships, strengthen emotional resilience, and develop healthier ways of living.

I work from an integrative perspective, drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), trauma-informed care, Emotional focused Techniques (EFT), and systems-based approaches. Treatment is individualized to meet the specific needs, strengths, goals, and life experiences of each client.

A strong emphasis is placed on emotional regulation, self-awareness, communication skills, coping strategies, and personal responsibility. I believe insight alone is not enough; meaningful progress requires practical tools and consistent application outside of sessions. Therapy should provide both understanding and action.

In my work with addiction and behavioral health, I view substance use disorders and mental health concerns as conditions that affect the whole person—emotionally, psychologically, physically, spiritually, relationally, and occupationally. Recovery involves more than abstinence; it involves rebuilding identity, purpose, structure, and connection.

Creating a respectful, nonjudgmental, and professional therapeutic environment is central to my practice. I strive to help clients feel heard while also encouraging growth, resilience, and long-term stability. My goal is to assist individuals in building practical skills and lasting changes that support healthier functioning both personally and professionally.

What you can expect from me

Clients can expect to be heard, respected, and met with compassion and honesty throughout the therapeutic process. I believe therapy should provide more than insight alone; it should also offer practical direction and meaningful tools for change. My goal is to help clients leave each session with a clearer understanding of themselves and a practical plan of action to begin identifying their goals and the pathways to achieve them.

Together, we work to identify barriers, recognize strengths, develop coping skills, and build strategies that support long-term growth and stability. Therapy is a collaborative process focused on helping individuals create healthier patterns, improve emotional awareness, strengthen relationships, and move toward a more balanced and purposeful life.
