Great to meet you!

Licensed Clinical Social Worker with nearly 30 years of social work experience and 7 years of clinical practice. Graduate of University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I work with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and stress-related concerns. My career has included extensive work with children, youth, and families, giving me a broad perspective on the challenges individuals face across different stages of life. I provide a compassionate, strengths-based approach focused on helping clients achieve greater emotional well-being and resilience.

My approach to therapy

My style is warm, open-minded, and down-to-earth. I aim to create a comfortable, judgment-free space where you can talk openly, feel supported, and work toward your goals. I use primarily CBT to help clients develop practical tools, gain insight, and make meaningful changes in their lives. I also believe that humor has a place in therapy and can be a valuable part of the healing process.

Therapy is a partnership, and my goal is to help you feel heard, empowered, and better equipped to manage life's challenges while building on your strengths and resilience.

What you can expect from me

The first session is really just a conversation. We'll talk about what's been going on in your life, what's bringing you to therapy, and what you hope to gain from the process. I'll ask some questions to better understand your background, experiences, and current challenges, but there's no pressure to share everything right away.

My goal is to create a space where you feel comfortable, heard, and supported. Together, we'll begin identifying the concerns you'd like to address, discuss what therapy may look like moving forward, and develop goals that fit your needs and priorities. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we'll work at a pace that feels right for you.
