Great to meet you!

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington, DC, a Licensed Certified Social Worker–Clinical (LCSW-C) in Maryland, and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Virginia. I hold a Master of Social Work degree and have a professional background in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and providing therapeutic services to individuals navigating a variety of emotional, behavioral, and life challenges. I support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, burnout, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. I also have experience providing neurodiversity-affirming, identity-focused therapy to individuals seeking a better understanding of themselves and their experiences. My goal is to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, understood, and empowered. Together, we work to build on existing strengths, develop healthier coping strategies, and improve overall well-being.

My approach to therapy

My approach to therapy is collaborative, compassionate, and individualized. I believe therapy should be a space where you feel heard, respected, and comfortable being yourself without judgment. I’m direct and honest, while also being genuine and understanding. I’ll provide honest and thoughtful feedback while helping you explore different perspectives and identify what may be getting in the way of the changes you’d like to make. I incorporate evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), while tailoring treatment to each client’s needs. I also like to make therapy practical and engaging by incorporating activities, exercises, and real-life examples during sessions so that you can apply what we discuss outside of therapy.

My goal is to help you better understand yourself, develop effective coping skills, navigate challenges, and make meaningful changes that feel realistic and sustainable.

What you can expect from me

During our first session, you can expect an opportunity to exhale, slow down, and have a comfortable, welcoming space to talk about what brought you to therapy and what you hope to get out of it. We’ll spend time getting to know you, discussing your current concerns, background, strengths, and goals for therapy. I’ll ask questions to better understand your experiences and what may be contributing to the challenges you’re facing. We’ll also begin identifying practical strategies and approaches that may be helpful moving forward. My goal is for you to leave the first session feeling heard, understood, and with a clearer sense of how we can work together.
