Great to meet you!

My name is Christiana Nmezi, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).

I provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing a variety of mental health concerns. I specialize in working with individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, PTSD, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), panic disorder and insomnia. I understand that every person's story is unique, and I believe that effective treatment begins with listening, understanding, and building s trusting therapeutic relationship.

My approach to therapy

I help by providing comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, accurate diagnosis, medication management, education, and personalized treatment plans tailored to each individual's goals and needs. My approach is holistic and collaborative, recognizing that mental health is influenced by physical health, relationships, life experiences, culture, and social circumstances. I believe patients are active partners in their care, and I use shared decision-making to ensure treatment aligns with their values, preferences, and lifestyle.

What you can expect from me

In our first sessions, you can expect a welcoming, nonjudgemental environment where you will have the opportunity to share your concerns openly. Together, we will explore your symptoms, medical and personal history, current challenges and treatment goals. I will take the time to explain diagnoses, discuss treatment options, answer your questions, and develop an individualized plan that supports your journey towards improved mental health and overall well-being.

My practice is unique because I take a whole-person, patient-centered approach, combining evidence-based psychiatric care with compassionate listening, education, and collaborative treatment planning. I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where every patient feels heard, respected, and empowered.

I am passionate about helping individuals improve their mental health, build resilience, and achieve lasting well-being. My goal is to provide compassionate, High-quality care through a therapeutic partnership founded on trust, respect and hope.
